Dr. Xin Jing from KU Leuven of Belgium visited Lanzhou University

From November 5th to 8th, at the invitation of the School of Pastoral Agricultural Science and Technology of Lanzhou University and the State key Laboratory of Pastoral Agricultural ecosystem, Dr. Xin Jing from KU Leuven of Belgium visited.

During this period, Xin Jing visited the 25th National key Laboratory of Pastoral Agricultural ecosystem called Youth Forum and made an academic report entitled Quantification of Biodiversity and ecosystem versatility: existing problems and improvements".The meeting was presided over by Professor Jinsheng He, director of the laboratory, and more than 100 teachers and students attended the meeting.In the report,Xin Jing mainly exchanged views on the quantitative methods of ecosystem versatility, the current research progress, the challenges encountered and the solutions, and had a warm discussion.

At the same time,Xin Jing was invited to participate in the grassland Ecological Research Institute group meeting, and all the teachers and students of the Institute for in-depth discussion.

Brief introduction of the presenter is as follows.

Xin Jing is a presently postdoctoral student from the University of Leuven, Belgium. He graduated from Peking University in 2014 with a doctorate in physical geography.His study focused on the integration and analysis of biodiversity at different spatial scales, especially the relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem function, as well as the impact of global change on terrestrial and underground processes.The research projects are mainly carried out on a number of international networking platforms, such as global grassland Nutrient Network and European forest FunDivEurope.
